Human & Eco Aims To Export 200,000 Tonnes Of Palm Kernel Shell
08/01/2016 (Bernama) - Human & Eco Energy Resources Dev't (M) Sdn Bhd (Human & Eco) aims to increase its export of palm kernel shell to 200,000 tonnes this year from 120,000 tonnes worth RM36 million last year.
Its managing director, Mohd Fauzi Bachok said besides Japan, which was the company's main export market, the commodity was also shipped to South Korea, Taiwan and European countries.
"Since the beginning of this year until yesterday, Human & Eco had exported 30,000 tonnes of palm kernel shell to Japan.
"We are confident of the export growth with the opening of our third office and warehouse in Pasir Gudang, Johor in September last year," he told Bernama.
Headquartered in Tanjung Kidurong near here, Human & Eco was set up in 2009 through a collaborative effort between Malaysia and Japan.
Apart from having offices in Bintulu and Pasir Gudang, the company also has another office and warehouse in Kuantan.
Mohd Fauzi said despite having three offices and warehouses, the company still could not cope up with the annual demand of about 500,000 tonnes palm kernel shell.
"In order to meet rising demand for palm kernel shell, we have set up subsidiaries in Padang and Bengkulu in Indonesia," he said.
