VEGOILS-Market Factors to Watch Jan 6
06/01/2016 (Reuters) - The following factors are likely to influence Malaysian palm oil futures and other vegetable oil markets.
FUNDAMENTALS
* Malaysian palm oil futures staged a turnaround on Tuesday, reversing earlier losses, after traders forecast sharp falls in December output.
* U.S. wheat, corn and soybean futures edged higher on Tuesday as investors used the previous session's sharp declines to take profits on bearish bets they had placed on the commodities sector, traders said.
* Oil prices dropped over 2 percent towards its 11-year low on Tuesday, as traders shrugged off growing tensions between two of the world's biggest oil producers and focused instead on a stronger U.S. dollar and swelling U.S. crude inventories.
MARKET NEWS
* Global equity markets were flat on Tuesday after their worst January kick-off in years as concerns about the global economy weighed on sentiment and pushed traders to seek the relative safety of the low-risk yen.
