9 Jan 2003 - Work on the plant began in August last year. When completedit will produce CPO, palm kernel and compost. PPNJ has secured a RM22million loan from Bank Pertanian Malaysia to finance the project, said itschairman Ibrahim Daud. He said the balance would come from the Farmers'Special Investment Scheme. "The new plant will be able to process 60,000tonnes of CPO per hour. It is being built on a plot of land alongKilometre 21 of Jalan Kluang-Mersing," he said.
