Egypt's FIHC Seeking Soyoil, Sunflower and Palm Oil in Tender
24/11/2015 (AG Week) - Egypt's state-owned Food Industries Holding Co (FIHC) is seeking soyoil, sunflower oil and palm oil in an international tender, traders said on Monday.
FIHC is looking to buy at least 10,000 tons of sunflower oil, 25,000 tons of soyoil and 5,400 tons of palm oil, they said. The deadline for offers is Dec. 2.
The sunflower oil is being sought for arrival Feb. 2-29 or March 1-20, while the soybean oil is for arrival Feb. 1-20 and/or March 1-20.
The palm oil is for arrival Jan. 1-20.
Offers should be presented on a cost and freight basis.
Egypt last sought vegetable oils in an international tender that closed on Nov. 12, when another state body, the General Authority for Supply Commodities (GASC), sought an unspecified amount of sunflower oil and soyoil for arrival Dec. 15-30.
GASC canceled the tender, with traders citing high prices as the reason.
