18/08/2015 (Bernama) - Felda Global Ventures Bhd (FGV) has not raised the wages of its plantation workers, rebutting claims made by a local research house in an article report published recently.

In a statement Monday, FGV reiterated that its labour policy was guided by the Malaysian Agriculture Producers Association, which provided the industry standard on minimum wages, and as regulated by Ministry of Human Resources.

"We have not raised the wages of our plantation workers, including palm oil mill employees, and other general workers, by eight-10 per cent effective April 1, 2015, as suggested in the report.

"However, a review of salary adjustments is still undergoing in FGV and as a public-listed entity, any changes in FGV's labour policy requires approval from our board of directors," FGV said.
