VEGOILS-Market Factors to Watch July 21
21/07/2015 (Reuters) - The following factors are likely to influence Malaysian palm oil futures and other vegetable oil markets.
FUNDAMENTALS
* Malaysian palm oil futures eased 0.14 percent on Monday, falling for a third consecutive session to their lowest level since July 9 as poor exports and a stronger dollar dragged down the market.
* Chicago Board of Trade wheat futures sank 3.4 percent on Monday to their lowest in more than three weeks, the fifth straight losing session, on pressure from dollar strength and a pick-up in the pace of harvest, traders said.
* Oil futures fell on Monday and U.S. crude slipped below $50 a barrel intraday as ample supply, the prospect of more Iranian crude for export and a strengthening dollar combined to pressure prices.
MARKET NEWS
* Gold prices plunged to their lowest in more than five years on Monday, at one point dropping 4 percent on aggressive selling out of China, while the U.S. dollar hit a three-month high on expectations for higher U.S. interest rates.
