Vegoils: Market Factors to Watch June 17
17/06/2015 (Reuters) - The following factors are likely to influence Malaysian palm oil futures and other vegetable oil markets on Wednesday June 17.
FUNDAMENTALS
* Malaysian palm oil futures rose for the first time in three sessions on Tuesday as the tropical oil tracked gains in comparative soy markets, but was weighed down by doubts on the effectiveness of Indonesia's levies to boost its biodiesel consumption.
* Chicago Board of Trade soybean futures rose as much as 2.5 percent on Tuesday, supported by the U.S. Department of Agriculture's cut to crop ratings and its report showing planting has fallen behind the typical pace, traders said.
* U.S. crude prices rose on Tuesday as a tropical storm moved ashore in the oil-producing state of Texas, but global oversupply limited gains and pressured Brent futures.
MARKET NEWS
* The euro fell on Tuesday as it appeared more likely that debt-stricken Greece would default or have to leave the single currency, while the U.S. dollar rose at the start of a two-day meeting by the Federal Reserve.
