20/12/2014 (Hindu Business Line) - Edible oils prices increased on Friday on the back of firm overseas market. On the Bombay Commodity Exchange, groundnut oil and sunflower oil rose by ₹5 each, cotton oil was up by ₹1, rapeseed oil by ₹15, palmolein and soyabean refined oil by ₹2 each for 10 kg. Lower than expected arrivals of oilseeds in producing centres pushed up sentiments for indigenous edible oils. Liberty was quoting palmolein at ₹4,78-480, super palmolein at ₹500 and soyabean refined oil at ₹595 for January.

Ruchi was quoting palmolein at ₹478 for January, soyabean refined oil at ₹588 for January and sunflower refined oil at ₹625 for December and January.

Allana was quoting palmolein at ₹480 for December and ₹487 for January, soyabean refined oil at ₹595 for December and sunflower oil at ₹630 for January.

In Saurashtra – Rajkot groundnut oil Telia tin jumped to ₹1,370 (₹1,340) and loose (10 kg) was ₹875 (₹850).

Bursa Malaysia Derivatives crude palm oil January futures settled higher at MYR 2,160 (MYR 2,146), February at MYR 2,153 (2,147) and March at MYR 2,153 (MYR 2,148).

On The Bombay Commodity Exchange spot rates (₹/10 kg) were: groundnut oil 855 (850), soya refined oil 590 (588), sunflower exp. ref. 570 (565), sunflower ref. 625 (625), rapeseed ref. oil 775 (760), rapeseed expeller ref. 745 (730) cottonseed ref. oil 561 (560) and Palmolein 477 (475).
