Malaysians Urged To Invest In Palm Oil Sector, Malay Restaurants In Riau
29/10/2013 (Bernama) - Malaysian manufacturers of palm oil products like margarine and soap as well as Malay restaurant operators have been urged to invest in Riau province.
"Riau is one of Indonesia's main oil palm producers, and we see bright prospects for Malaysians to invest in the upstream industry," Malaysian consul in Pekanbaru Azizan Ismail told visiting journalists from Johor recently who were accompanying a joint delegation from Firefly, Tourism Malaysia and the Johor Tourism Department.
Azizan expressed confidence that with the launch of Firefly's Johor Bahru-Pekanbaru route on Aug 2, response from locals here to Malaysian Malay restaurants and Johor's medical centres and hospitals, as well as to Iskandar Malaysia's attractions such as Legoland, Johor Premium Outlets and Puteri Harbour, would be good.
