11/10/2013 (Bernama) - Malaysia's crude palm oil (CPO) production in September increased 10.20 per cent to 1,912,237 tonnes from 1,735,284 tonnes in August, the Malaysian Palm Oil Board (MPOB) said Thursday.

Production of crude palm kernel oil last month rose 25.03 per cent to 224,846 tonnes from 179,838 tonnes previously, but September CPO stock was 3.04 per cent lower at 967,218 tonnes from the 997,539 tonnes in August, MPOB said in a statement.

Processed palm oil stock in September rose 21.86 per cent to 817,179 tonnes compared to 670,593 tonnes the previous month, but crude palm kernel oil stock was at 140,079 tonnes, 3.41 per cent higher than the 135,466 tonnes previously.

Malaysia exported 1,605,209 tonnes of palm oil in September, up 5.16 per cent over the 1,526,394 tonnes in August, although September palm kernel oil exports declined 17 per cent to 72,931 tonnes from 87,867 tonnes previously.

Imports of processed palm oil in September jumped 3241.88 per cent to 19,483 tonnes from 583 tonnes in August.
