MAY YOUR PROJECT BE A SUCCESS: Ahmad Lai watering an oil palm he planted to launch the project.

31/12/2012 (Borneo Post) - One hundred and sixty NCR landowners from Kampung Bakam near here appealed to the Land and Survey Department to survey their combined 4,800 acres of land quickly as they are keen to open up their property for an oil palm plantation project.

Sibuti MP Ahmad Lai Bujang, who said this yesterday, stressed that a proper survey would eliminate the possibility of disputes arising among participants and other interested parties.

“I am happy to see such eagerness and determination of the villagers to open up their land for the development of an oil palm plantation,” he said at the launch of Sungai Terit Plantation.

“This will bring change and progress not only to the respective families but the village as a whole. The government and I support such a project whole-heartedly.”

To ensure that the proposed project is successful, Ahmad Lai reminded the villagers to remain united always and work as a team.

“You must also be serious and not be half-hearted in this project as it will have a big impact on the village.”

Ahmad Lai also spoke of the need to apply modern agricultural approaches and nurture a close working relationship with the relevant authorities.
