Sudan Interested In Felda\'s Expertise
29/10/2012 (Bernama) - Sudan has expressed interest to apply technological expertise from the Federal Land Development Authority (Felda) for the country's development.
Felda chairman Tan Sri Mohd Isa Abdul Samad said according to Sudan's ambassador to Malaysia, Nader Yousif Al-Tayeb, they wanted to know how Felda developed the area from the early stage until the second generation.
"The Sudanese ambassador came to see me because they were interested in the Felda concept," he told reporters after a Quran/dividend presentation ceremony by Felda Global Ventures Holding (FGVH) to settlers in Terengganu here Sunday.
He said the ambassador stated that Sudan had land on which they wanted to grow oil palm.
Therefore, he said Felda general manager Faizoull Ahmad would go to Sudan where former Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad will attend the Sudanese-Malaysian Trade and Investment Forum on Nov 2.
