Sabah Targets Investment Inflows Of RM3.88 Billion Next Year

24/10/2012 (Bernama) - Sabah has targeted investment inflows of RM3.883 billion next year which is expected to generate 2,183 job opportunities.

State Minister of Industrial Development, Datuk Raymond Tan Shu Kiah said the projected investment value would be generated through activities and projects planned for the existing industrial zones.

"For example, Kota Kinabalu Industrial Park (KKIP) is expected to receive potential investment value of RM640 million and expected to create 1,200 job opportunities.

"Palm Oil Industrial Cluster (POIC) Lahad Datu is expected to attract investments of RM415 million and create 385 jobs while POIC Sandakan is expected to receive investments of RM328 million with 298 jobs opportunities," he said during his winding up speech at the Sabah State Assembly here Tuesday night.
