19/09/2012 (Bernama) - Kumpulan Syarikat Ketengah Holding Sdn Bhd (KSKHSB), which has seven companies under its wings, has recorded a post-tax profit of RM52,982,229 for 2011, an increase by RM14,042,050 from the RM38,940,179 seen a year before.

Menteri Besar Terengganu Datuk Seri Ahmad Said said the state owned KSKHSB companies were active in the plantations and manufacturing businesses with the main activity being the production and processing of palm oil.

Only one company, Ketengah Holding, which is the holding company, is investment based.

The other six companies are Ketengah Perwira Sdn Bhd, YIT-Ketengah Perwira Sdn Bhd, Ketengah Jaya Sdn Bhd, Kebunika Sdn Bhd, Ladang Ternak Tani Sdn Bhd and Rakyat Ketengah Perwira Sdn Bhd.

"KSKHSB's profits came mainly from its plantation and manufacturing companies where profit rose by 36.06 per cent from the previous year," Ahmad told reporters following a ceremony here today where the company handed over a zakat payment of RM1,324,556 to the Terengganu Religious Affairs Department(JHEAT).
