Farmers Engaged to Modernize Production
12/06/2012 (Cameroon Radio Television) - Farmers in the Adamawa region have been urged to modernise their methods in order to increase the production of milk, honey and fish in order to meet with local and external demand.
Dr Taiga, Minister for Livestock Fisheries and Animal Industries, exhorted farmers in Ngaoundere while handing out farm equipment and cheques to livestock farmer organisations in Ngaoundere.
In the meantime, producers of palm oil in Manyu division of the South West Region will soon have a new and modern oil mill.
The Secretary General in the Ministry of Mines, Industry and Technological development has laid the foundation for the mill in Mkpot village.
The oil mill is expected to help raise Cameroon's overall production of palm oil.
