16/05/2012 (BBC News) - Stockpiles of Malaysia's most important export, palm oil, have fallen to their lowest level in a year because of subdued demand.

Concerns over Europe's debt crisis and increasing competition from neighbouring Indonesia have kept exports of palm oil flat.

The industry though remains a big job creator - but the government is concerned that not enough of those jobs are going to Malaysian workers.

The BBC's Jennifer Pak reports on the measures being taken to make working on oil-palm plantations more attractive.
