Dupont Positive About Its Growth Potential In Malaysia
15/03/2012 (Bernama) - DuPont Malaysia Sdn Bhd foresees its business to experience further growth given the vast potential existing in Malaysia, says managing director Ong Ewe Hock.
He said the US-based parent company viewed Malaysia as a niche market that provided synergies in its business, especially in the oil palm and rice sector.
"This year, the market environment is quite volatile compared with last year and we expect some headwinds. But, we do not expect it (the environment) to be as bad as in 2008 and 2009.
"We still expect some moderate growth for the company as we will always be on the lookout for potential opportunities.
"The market environment is volatile but in any crisis, there will still be certain opportunities to be tapped, and this is where DuPont is trying to make a mark," he told reporters after launching DuPont Malaysia's Oil Palm Excellence Centre.
