JAKARTA, March 7 Asia Pulse - Indonesia will formally protest againstIndia's decision to raise import duties on palm oil, a policy described byJakarta as discriminative.

On Feb. 15, the Indian government raised the import duties on crude palmoil (CPO) from 65 per cent to 80 per cent.

Chairman of the working group of the Indonesia-India Joint Commission DediSaleh said Agriculture Minister Anton Apriantono will send the letter tohis Indian counterpart before an informal meeting of the countries thatare against farm subsidies in New Delhi on March 18.

India is one of the largest buyers of CPO from Indonesia.
