BW Plantation’s Output Up 15.3% in 2011
06/02/2012 (Jakarta Post) - Indonesia’s palm oil firm PT BW Plantation Tbk (BWPT) booked a 21 percent increase in crude palm oil (CPO) production to 110,771 tons in 2011, driving up its overall output for the year.
BW Plantation’s total production reached 458,217 tons last year, a 15.3 percent increase from the previous year and slightly surpassing its initial target of 456,000 tons, the company said in a stock exchange filing submitted on Friday.
The overall output was generated from 441,872 tons of nucleus plantation and the remaining 16,345 tons from plasma. BW Plantation did not disclose revenues collected from the sales.
Stock shares in BW Plantation traded at Rp 1,300 each on Friday trading’s close, down 1.5 percent from the day before. The shares have risen 16.1 percent so far this year, outperforming the broader stock index’s 5.1 percent gain.
Indonesia, the world’s top CPO exporter, have been benefited by surging income on rising commodities prices through 2011, including CPO.
