26/01/2012 (Jakarta Post) - Publicly-listed plantation company PT Astra Agro Lestari reported that it sold 1.25 million tons of crude palm oil (CPO) in 2011, increasing by about 12 percent from 1.11 million tons in 2010.

According to a file submitted to the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) on Tuesday, Astra Agro Lestari sold 1.19 million tons, or 95.3 percent of the total volume to the domestic market. The figure of domestic sales increased 16.8 percent compared to 1.02 million tons in 2010.

Astra Agro Lestari’s export of CPO declined 32.1 percent to 59,418 tons in 2011 from 87,473 tons in 2010.

The file also showed that the company’s CPO average selling price in 2011 stood at Rp 7,576 (less than US$1) per kilogram, increasing by 7.8 percent from an average of Rp 7,027 per kilogram in 2010.
