KUALA LUMPUR (May 4): Plantation counters on Bursa Malaysia demonstrated greater interest from investors this morning after crude palm oil (CPO) prices rallied even further.

KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysian palm oil futures ended lower on Tuesday after a volatile day of trade, trimming some of the previous session’s gains, on forecast for higher Indonesian output this year and demand concerns due to a surge in COVID-19 cases globally.

The benchmark palm oil contract for July delivery on the Bursa Malaysia Derivatives Exchange slid 71 ringgit, or 1.75%, to 3,990 ringgit ($971.75) a tonne in early trade, after rising 5% on Monday.

KUALA LUMPUR, May 3 (Reuters) - Malaysian palm oil futures logged their highest daily gain in 11 months, buoyed by stronger April exports and a rally in rival soyoil amid worries about global edible oils supply.

The South Dakota Soybean Research and Promotion Council is excited about the results of a study that shows the significant health benefits of using B100 or 100-percent biodiesel. Council Chair Tim Ostrem says the Trinity Study showed a 45-percent reduction in cancer risk when used in trucks and an 86-percent reduced risk when used for home heating oil, plus fewer premature deaths and reduced asthma attacks.

The maximum retail price of bottled cooking oil has been raised by Tk 2 to Tk 141 per litre.

On Monday, the CME Group's farm markets closed mostly in the red. At the close, the July corn futures settled 6 1/4¢ higher at $6.79 1/2. New crop September futures finished 1/2¢ lower at $5.91. December corn futures settled 3/4¢ lower at $5.63.

New Delhi, May 3 (PTI) Soybean prices on Monday went up by Rs 62 to Rs 7,169 per quintal in the futures market as traders created fresh positions tracking positive spot demand.

Consultancy Strategie Grains expects new-crop rapeseed prices to exceed those of 2020/21, which have rallied to record highs in recent months on tightening global supply and high crushing margins.
