India’s June palm oil imports jumped 49% from the previous month to their highest in three months as buyers took advantage of a dip in prices to their lowest in 28 months to increase purchases, six dealers told Reuters.

KUALA LUMPUR, July 5 (Reuters) - Malaysian palm oil futures ticked up on Wednesday, rising for a third time in the past four sessions, on concerns over a build-up of June inventories in the world's second-largest producer amid slow exports.

A rebound in buying by the world's biggest vegetable oil importer would support Malaysian palm oil futures and help top producers Indonesia and Malaysia to trim inventories.

NAIROBI, Kenya, July 4 – Malaysia is looking to export more palm oil to Kenya, coming at a time when prices of palm oil have skyrocketed due to disruptions in the global supply chain.

Malaysian palm oil futures fell on Tuesday in a retreat from the previous day’s more than three-month high, ending three sessions of gains, though losses were capped by global edible oil supply fears and a weak ringgit.

European Union soybean imports in the 2022/23 season that ended on June 30 reached 13.02 million metric tons, data published by the European Commission showed on Tuesday.

Rapeseed oil sales by German oil mills remained well below the figure from 12 months previously at the beginning of the crop year.
