17/11/2012 (Reuters) - Malaysian palm oil futures slipped on Friday, despite posting a weekly gain of close to 5 percent, as traders booked profits from a large increase in the previous session, and slowing exports squeezed prices.

The total import cargo of 85,947 tonnes comprised 17,876 tonnes of containerised cargo; 5,697 tonnes of bulk cargo; 8,307 tonnes of coal; 7,458 tonnes of DAP; 947 tonnes of oil cake meals; 1,704 tonnes of urea and 43,958 tonnes of oil/liquid cargo.

17/11/2012 (RTT News) - New Britain Palm Oil Limited (NBPO.L), a Papua New Guinea-based producer of palm oil, Friday reported lower sales for the first nine months of the year, owing to weather impacts compounded by flagging crude palm oil or CPO and palm kernel oil or PKO prices.

17/11/2012 (Hindu Business Line) - Vegetable oil imports increased 18 per cent to 10.2 million tonnes (mt) in the oil year ended October. Besides lower prices, the demand was largely driven by sharp fall in oilseed output and rise in demand.

16/11/2012 (Reuters) - Malaysian palm oil futures posted on Wednesday the highest daily gain since October 2010, lifted by a slowdown in inventory build-up in the world\'s second largest producer and a demand recovery for the edible oil.
