UPS publishes Palm Oil Tocotrienols and Tocopherols Monograph
20/10/2022 (Nutritional Outlook) - The United States Pharmacopeia (New York; USP) has published the Palm Oil Tocotrienols and Tocopherols Monograph under Non-Botanical Dietary Supplements. According to the monograph, palm oil tocotrienols and tocopherols consist mainly of a mixture of alpha-, beta-, and gamma-tocotrienols and alpha-tocopherol derived from the oil from the mesocarp of fruits of Elaeisguineensis Jacq. Phytosterols and squalene are also naturally present in palm oil.
