Xebec's first Palm Oil Mill Effluent (POME) Biogas Upgrading Plant Receives Visit of Datuk Dr. Ewon Ebin, Malaysia's Minister for Science, Technology and Innovation
11/04/2014 (Wall Street Journal) - Xebec Adsorption Inc. (TSXV: XBC) ("Xebec"), a provider of biogas upgrading, natural gas, field gas and hydrogen purification and filtration solutions for the clean energy and crude-derived fuels displacement markets, announced today that Datuk Dr. Ewon Ebin, Malaysia's Minister for Science, Technology and Innovation has recently paid a working visit to Xebec's biogas upgrading plant located on Cary Island in Selangor. The plant was commissioned in June last year, and utilizes Xebec's advanced biogas upgrading technology, which transforms and upgrades the biogas from palm oil mill effluents (POME) into compressed natural gas for transportation use. The plant has a design capacity of 500 liters of gasoline equivalent a day.

Stockists Place Fresh Bets in Edible Oils
10/04/2014 (Hindu Business Line) -Trading in the edible oils markets improved on Wednesday as stockists came forward with fresh orders at a lower price. Local refineries reduced their rates for imported palmolein and soya oil over ₹10 each, following slack physical demand. On the Bombay Commodity Exchange, barring groundnut oil which ruled steady despite weak Saurashtra market, palmolein and soya oil lost ₹11 and ₹5 each for 10 kg. Sunflower and rapeseed oil declined by ₹10 each. Cotton refined oil eased by ₹7.

10/04/2014 (Business Recorder) - The Karachi Port handled 136,547 tonnes of cargo comprising 107,090 tonnes of import cargo and 29,457 tonnes of export cargo including 4,581 loaded and empty containers during the last 24 hours ending at 0700 hours on Tuesday. The total import cargo of 107,090 tonnes comprised of 36,175 tonnes of containerised cargo; 1,886 tonnes of general cargo; 14,774 tonnes of coal and 54,255 tonnes of oil/liquid cargo.
