20/09/2014 (Business Recorder) - The Karachi Port handled 140,727 tonnes of cargo comprising 110,381 tonnes of import cargo and 30,346 tonnes of export cargo including 7,711 loaded and empty containers during the last 24 hours ending at 0700 hours on Friday. The total import cargo of 110,381 tonnes comprised of 65,904 tonnes of containerised cargo; 11,707 tonnes of general cargo; 16,676 tonnes of bulk cargo: 4,232 tonnes of wheat; 4,756 tonnes of DAP; 4,353 tonnes of soyabean meal; 2,525 tonnes of rape seed and 16,094 tonnes of oil/liquid cargo.
