Activities at Karachi and Qasim Ports
29/12/2014 (Business Recorder) - The Karachi Port handled 291,228 tonnes of cargo comprising 210,235 tonnes of import cargo and 80,993 tonnes of export cargo including 6,754 loaded and empty containers during the last 48 hours ending at 0700 hours on Friday. The total import cargo of 210,235 tonnes comprised of 98,730 tonnes of containerised cargo; 3,329 tonnes of general cargo; 44,121 tonnes of bulk cargo: 27,235 tonnes of coal; 16,886 tonnes of urea and 64,055 tonnes of oil/liquid cargo.
