Activity at Karachi & Qasim Ports

13/03/2015 (Business Recorder) - The Karachi Port handled 165,795 tonnes of cargo comprising 135,618 tonnes of import cargo and 30,177 tonnes of export cargo including 5,072 loaded and empty containers during the last 24 hours ending at 0700 hours on Thursday. The total import cargo of 135,618 tonnes comprised of 51,158 tonnes of containerised cargo; 380 tonnes of general cargo; 2,464 tonnes of soyabean meal and 81,616 tonnes of oil/liquid cargo.
