SINGAPORE (Jan 16): The palm oil third-month contract may rise into a range of 2,577-2,612 ringgit per tonne, as it has found a support at 2,519 ringgit.

New Delhi, Jan 15 (PTI) Crude palm oil prices shed 0.13 per cent to Rs 557 per 10 kg in futures trading today due to weak advices from spot market on tepid demand.

A number of US retailers, including Ahold Delhaize, Albertsons and Target, have joined with global food manufacturers such as Kellogg and Kraft Heinz to form the North American Sustainable Palm Oil Network (NASPON).

Plantation counters have risen as much as 13% in value since the government announced the suspension on export taxes for crude palm oil (CPO), as the country seeks to cut inventories and protect the interest of over 600,000 smallholders.

Market sentiment has turned more bearish on European RME biodiesel prices, with RME's premium to FAME 0 now expected to narrow toward the end of February.
